After what was undeniably a vacation filled with rich meals and overeating (because, why not?), it’s time to get back to basics. We had our getaway where it was cool to eat two pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage for breakfast every day for a week, and now it’s time to let it go. Cue music.
Also, having driven from South Carolina to upstate Michigan, then all around Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, then to northern Ohio, then back to South Carolina, our gas budget got hit pretty hard. Granted, we weren’t spending too much money on food during that time, but driving all over the USA more than made up for food savings. Thus: a week of simplicity.
