Meal Plan: August 24 – 30, 2014

Rebecca is back in school and I’m back at work. She’s studying marine tetrapods (four-limbed vertebrates) this semester and I’m teaching first grade once more. It is nice, in a way, to be back in the work routine, but it just doesn’t leave as much time for cooking and gardening.

The gardens are in a weird place right now. The tomatoes have gone by and I have new seedlings at the ready for the second planting. We get a second planting! The red bell pepper plants will be peaking soon, and the basil has shot up once more and is bushier than ever. The leeks and broccoli are growing too slowly for my taste, the eggplants are producing lovely fruit, and the pumpkin plants are about 3 inches tall. So… it’s a transition period.
