It’s Labor Day! We’ve been enjoying a very hot three-day weekend here in Charleston by going shrimping/fishing, working in the garden, and spending time with friends. Today, hopefully, there will be a pool involved with friend hangout time.
This week’s recipes come from various sources. The first, from Bon Appetit online. I’ve been exploring polenta and grits more and more and thought the combination of sausage and roasted grapes just sounded perfect. The pulled chicken tacos will be a chance to clean out the fridge, particularly of half-bottles of BBQ sauce. Finally, the carrot risotto recipe is an old standby from one of my favorite cookbooks, and certainly my most exhaustive, The Silver Spoon. I’ve made it ten times or more, and it is always delicious.
