Meal Plan: October 20 – 26, 2014

After an awesome weekend of camping in upstate South Carolina, and some epic apple picking at Sky Top Orchards in Zirconia, NC, it is good to be back in the Lowcountry.

The green peppers continue to produce, though the flesh is pretty thin at this point in the season. The basil has bounced back yet again and is almost ready for a 4th harvest. My pumpkins, the crop I was most excited about this fall, are failing. They get to be about golf-ball-sized, then turn yellow and fall off. I suspect a pollination problem, or perhaps dry weather.
