Well, I mean (relatively) “Brrrr!” It was in the 30’s here in Charleston this morning. My sister in Maine would roll her eyes at me for sure, since the high in Charleston for today is a balmy 53 degrees and and 35 where she is… but still.
So, once again, chilly weather may have influenced my menu planning. That, and the challenge of cooking a week’s worth of food o a $50 budget, of course. Let’s do this.
Tuesday and Wednesday
Sharp Cheddar and Apple Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
Thursday and Friday
Pasta with Garden Pesto
Saturday and Sunday
Monday and Tuesday
Shepherd’s Pie, from The Best International Recipe
On the Backburner (a to-cook list):
- Mortadella and Smoked Mozzarella Sandwich
- Dean and DeLuca Roquefort Special Sandwich
- Southern Style Macaroni and Cheese
- Charleston Tomato Pie
- Meat Loaf
- Rio Bertolini’s Ravioli
