This week features comfort food. Cheese, sausage, bacon, steak, caramel… a little decadence leading up to Valentine’s Day. Why not?
This week holds my first foray into preparing Toad in the Hole, which is very exciting. It’s going to look like a hot mess and I can’t wait to snap some photos of it. I also started reading Kitchen Confidential, by Anthony Bourdain which is a warts-and-all exposé/memoir of his life in the food and bev industry. I’m only about 30 pages in, and it is not for the faint hearted or those who don’t appreciate a wryly lobbed cuss word.
